The Facilities at SPACE 

SPACE is suitable for wheelchair users.  There are two wheel-chair-accessible toilets and one "Changing Place" toileting area with hydraulic changing bed.  In the SPACE room there is a ceiling tracking hoist which enables clients to access the downstairs area.  Due to time restraints, a maximum of four clients can use the hoist in any one SPACE session.

Now we have purchased the building next door to SPACE, we have the whole car park available with space for several minibuses and 10 cars, which means groups can arrive early, or stay after their sessions to have refreshments and socialise with other groups.  Groups can use the gardens behind SPACE to do this, or use the social area in the next door building.  Groups need to advise SPACE staff that they wish to do this when booking their sessions, so we can open the building for them.

Groups may bring their own drinks/ food to be consumed in the gardens or next door.  There are also several catering establishments near SPACE on the docks, including MacDonalds, Morrisons and The Marina.  The Marina is a Chandlery with a lovely cafe area inside and out with views over the dock area.
