Welcome to The SPACE Centre!

The SPACE Centre is unique.   Established in 1993, it is the largest multi-sensory environment in the United Kingdom for people with special needs.  We are located in Preston, Lancashire and currently offer a large, soft-padded multi-sensory room, with specialist lighting and even a slide!  At SPACE, our clients can move around in safety and develop skills, in a calm and controlled atmosphere.  To find out more about what we do and how we can help, please take a look at our About Space pages by clicking the link in the menu bar above.  Our mission statement:

 "To provide a place where those with physical, learning and/ or emotional difficulties may more easily acquire skills and enjoy experiences usually denied them."

Due to our popularity and the demand for sessions, we are almost solidly booked and have to disappoint groups wishing to visit us.  To solve this problem, we decided we needed more space!  and to help us raise the funds to expand the centre, we launched the Brick appeal.   If you wish to read more about our vision and to see our video, please go to the fund raising link in the menu.
